From Reuters.

Britain was voted to leave European Union and British PM David Cameron has resigned and will leave the office on October. It is the first time ever that a member of EU has left the union.

Unfortunately, it's not over yet. Pound has weakened as much as 10 percent against the dollar, the highest since 1985. Their big banks have lost $130 billion.

Now that Britain has left EU, it can no longer access trade barrier-free single market. Will it have a trade accord with United States or Canada?

But that's not all. United Kingdom of Great Britain itself might break apart. If UK did break apart, it will be the biggest nation dissolution since the fall of Yugoslavia which started in 1990 and continued until 2008 which started with Slovenia and Macedonia in 1991 and ended with Kosovo with 2008.

Fall from superpower is expected.

Now that Britain is no longer a member of EU, United Kingdom can be free with whoever they can be allies with.

My Opinion

After European Union, I think the next union that will be at risk of a heavy blow would be CIS considering the Russia-Ukraine conflict (although it's mostly because Putin is corrupt to the core).

I'm a bit conflicted if this is a good or bad thing. The good thing is, that economic liberation has been set. The bad thing is, stocks may crash even further. However, the days of United Kingdom as a superpower may be numbered.

I'm from Italy and we're always talking about it. I heard about that people want another referendum to enter again in Europe: Scotland, Ireland and Wales want to be indipendent by UK. Also I heard that UK is spending a bad period because there is a serious crisis.
